Diamond Cement feeds 3000 street children

Source: GNA - Diamond Cement Ghana limited (DCGL), has organised a buffet party for more than 3000 street children in its charity event dubbed: “Diamond Cement’s Largest Buffet” at the independence square in Accra.
The event which was organised by BBnZ had food and drinks distributed to the children as part of the project’s tagline, “Dare to Care: Feeding Accra’s Street Children.”

The children were also given learning materials and entertained with musical performances and bouncy castles where they played and enjoyed their special day.

A statement issued in Accra by Mr Kwame Blay, Director of the project and copied to the GNA noted that Mr Prakash Bhatt, Senior Marketing Manager of DCGL expressed the company’s commitment to support Ghana’s largest buffet event to share in the children’s joy and have fun with them.

He said: “As a caring brand, we believe these children are the future of our country hence our willingness to support this initiative to reiterate our pledge.”

Mr Bhatt also mentioned Diamond Cement’s eagerness to feed and care for more kids in the coming years.

Mr Blay expressed appreciation to both the sponsors and volunteers of the event for offering support to please the children.

According to the statement, Diamond Cement’s Largest Buffet saw about 3.02 tons of fried rice prepared on a giant cooker by several chefs making it the largest quantity of rice to have been prepared instantly in the country.
